Thanksgiving in St Louis 2012

We traveled to St Louis/Saint Charles this year to meet Bryan, Star, Taylor, Eddie and Judy. We had a great time! We ate Thanksgiving dinner at Cracker Barrel and had to wait an hour and a half for a table. I guess we weren't the only ones with that plan! We went downtown Saint Charles on Friday to watch the Christmas parade and for Aeryn to see all the different Christmas characters from around the world. She really enjoyed it this year!!

1st grade flying past!

Wow! Where is 1st grade going?  Can't believe it's almost the end of the 1st quarter already.  Fall is upon us and I'm just loving the weather.  It's also such a difference this year with all of Aeryn's close friends having birthdays.  We've already been to 4 since school began.  2 of them were last Sunday, back to back.  I think I'm a little birthdayed out!!!

Finally, I get a day off with nothing to do but hang with Aeryn. So we took off for the pool and spent about 4 hours there. It was delightful!!

Kindergarten graduation

Aeryn graduated from kindergarten on May 22. Can't believe we have a 1st grader already. There were 121 kindergartners. She had a great day.

Procrastination

I can't believe that it's been almost 7 months since I've posted on here. I'm such a slacker. Life is flying by though amd I can't believe that Christmas is upon us once again. It's so much fun watching the changes in Aeryn through the years especially about Christmas. We're trying to teach her about those who won't have a Christmas and to maybe share some of her toys that she doesn't play with anymore. The concept is difficult for her right now. Between work for me and school for Aeryn we don't have nearly as much free time to go and do things like we used to. So we cram the weekends full. We went to Silver Dollar City for the opening/lighting of the Christmas lights for the season. It was beautiful and a great day!

OK, I'm a slacker!

Yep!  It's probably been 2 years since I've updated this.  What's going on now?  Aeryn is now 5 and getting ready to start Kindergarten.  Bryan and I are still working in the same places.  Mom and dad have closed the bed & breakfast and are moving into a new house close to us.

Yeah, a lot is going on.

Aeryn's 2nd Birthday

Aeryn's great grandparents were in town for her 2nd birthday.  It was the last time Grandpa got to see her.  She had a great time with Papa Richard and Gramma Bette.  We had an easter egg hunt (inside because it was about 40 degrees outside!)  Aeryn also had a great time playing with her Aunt Niki who lives in Lincoln, NE.
